Penn State Berks to host Democracy Dialogue on Oct. 26

WYOMISSING, Pa. — The Penn State Berks Intercultural Office, Student Government Association and College Democrats Club will hold a Democracy Dialogue, an open discussion on U.S. democracy, elections and the political parties, at 12:15 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26. The event is for the Penn State Berks community only and will be held over Zoom.

The Democracy Dialogue will include a panel of speakers, followed by open discussion. Speakers include:

  • Suzanne Hillkirk, who will discuss the history of voting and elections in the U.S. democratic system.
  • Randall Newnham, who will discuss the history of the political parties and the meanings of conservative and liberal.
  • Saundra Reichel, who will present conservative citizens’ perspectives and values.
  • Joshua Dauberman, who will present liberal citizens’ perspectives and values.
