THON is a year-long, Penn State student-led effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer.
READING, Pa. — Penn State Berks Benefiting THON, a student group, will hold a “Showcase of Art,” an exhibition of selected work submitted by third- and fourth-graders in Berks County school districts, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, in the Janssen Conference Center, Penn State Berks. This event is free and open to the public.
THON — short for the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon — is a year-long, Penn State student-led effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. THON's fundraising helps offset the cost of a child's cancer treatment and helps establish research endowments aimed at increasing the cure rates of pediatric cancer treatments.
